Dr. Victoria Malaney-Brown
About Me
Dr. Victoria Malaney-Brown (she/her) is an author, leader, mother and founder of VMB Coaching & Consulting. Currently, Dr. Malaney-Brown is the inaugural Director of Academic Integrity at Columbia University where she directs an undergraduate program on integrity values and teaches about the hidden success curriculum needed in order to thrive in academia. She is the Past President of the Critical Mixed Race Studies Association and is an expert on social justice education.
Dr. Malaney-Brown has co-edited books, a monograph, and has published 12 articles on DEI topics. She uses coaching techniques to help people to reach their full potential as their authentic selves. Dr. Malaney-Brown is a qualitative and mixed methods researcher who earned her Masters and PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Educational Policy, Research, and Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in English-Spanish with minors in Dance and Latin American Studies from Skidmore College. Dr. Malaney-Brown also offers her voice to parent organizations raising race conscious children, nonprofit organizations, K-12 schools, and designs learning management and training curriculums for businesses.
